The Editorial Office hereby formally retracts the article entitled “Technical Notes on Input Shaping in Overhead Crane Systems,” authored by Khalid Alghanim and published under manuscript ID TK823807.
On 27 July 2026, the author informed the Editorial Office that, following the resolution of a separate publication matter involving another journal, the same manuscript had been formally published by that journal. The author subsequently requested withdrawal of the article from this journal.
As the article had already been formally published and incorporated into the scholarly record, it was no longer eligible to be treated as a pre-publication withdrawal. After reviewing the circumstances, the Editorial Office determined that formal retraction was the appropriate course of action in order to prevent the continued existence of duplicate published versions of the same work and to safeguard the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record.
This retraction is issued at the author’s request and on the basis of the publication history communicated to the Editorial Office by the author. The retraction does not arise from concerns regarding the scientific content of the article, unless otherwise stated.
In accordance with standard scholarly publishing practice, the original article will remain accessible in the journal archive as part of the permanent publication record. However, the article and its associated metadata will be clearly and prominently identified as retracted, and this retraction notice will be permanently linked to the original publication.
